State Fair of Texas Discounts

It’s fall, and you know what that means — it’s time for the State Fair of Texas! Beginning Sept. 27, 2019, the Fair will run for 24 days and bring people together from all around the Lone Star State.

Your wallet need not fear, though. We’ve rounded up the best ways to save you money when you head to Fair Park.

Buy Tickets in Advance

You can purchase tickets in advance at BigTex.com or your local Kroger and receive a $1.50 discount for single tickets. However,  if you do it through DART’s GoPass app, you’ll get an extra 50 cents off.

If you’re planning on going to the fair multiple times, you might consider buying a season pass, which is only $39.95 to $45 — less the cost of three tickets.

However, the $115 Season Pass 2-Pack Combo is a better deal. You get two season passes and 100 tickets ($50 worth) for food and rides. But wait, there’s a code for $10 off the 2-pack: enter “19MAPsp10” at checkout at BigTex.com. If you need passes for the whole family, be sure to get the Season Pass 4-Pack Combo that has 200 food/drink tickets.

Family Packs

If your kids are taller than 48 inches, go for the Family Four-Pack, which is only $105 for four general admission tickets and 100 food/ride tickets. But hold on, we’ve got a discount code for that too: Get $10 off that price by entering “19VALPAKfam10” at checkout at BigTex.com. If you need more food/drink tickets, get the Ultimate Family Four-Pack with 300 tickets for only $205.

If you only need two admission tickets and still want the discounted goodies, grab the $79 Big Tex 2-Pack, which comes with 100 food/ride tickets. Save $5 with the code “19MAPdate5” at checkout.
